Following is a small view into Lorami Farm, owned by Lorna & Terry
Thomason, located in the rolling middle Tennessee hills of Adams,
Tennessee. The Farm sits geographically in the northern, center of the
state, just a few miles from the Kentucky line and 35 miles northwest of
Nashville.
Our primary focus is breeding Arabian cross Sport Horses that
can be used for just about any horseback sporting event. As a dressage
enthusiast, Lorna looks for the floaty, engaged movement in the sires
and dams to produce these wonderful animals, and the ATTITUDE is
everything. More and more we hear about ‘work ethics’ in describing
sport horses and that just means that they must naturally posses a
desire to perform. We strive to produce not just a beautiful, athletic
horse, but one that enjoys working, too!!
We use both Arabian and Trakehner mares to produce our Sport
Horse crosses as each gives their own special qualities to their
offspring. We have been especially fortunate to have produced several
foals by the Trakehner stallions, SCHOENFELDER, owned by Lou & Ernie
Shook of Versailles, Ky. (now deceased) and SCHOENFELD, located at
Mae’s Way Farm in Lexington, Ky.
Proudly we boast that this is the home of Lorami Raflection,
1994 Arabian National Champion and son of Schoenfelder, out of the
wonderful Arabian mare, Raf-Frolic, now deceased. “Raf” was the second
Arab-Trakehner cross produced at Lorami Farm and led the way for many
more of these fine colts who were bred and born here. Please look at our
Sale Horses page and see some of the fine youngsters we currently have
for sale. If you are looking for something specific and don’t find it
here, please contact us and maybe we know just where to find that
special horse for you.
